Earned Media Account Executive

We’re growing our team and looking for a communications pro with passion for public relations and the discipline to strategically align media relations, efforts, content and engagement with overarching client and campaign objectives.

You will report to the Earned Media Director and be responsible for managing client and agency projects. In this role you will work closely with coordinators and interns as well as other departments at the agency to ensure efforts are appropriately aligned, on time and on budget. You will also work with analytics tools and prepare metrics, tracking and activity reports.  

Must have working knowledge of agency services – media, account services, promotions, and digital, and how they all work together to deliver results and pay-off on the overall direction of the campaign.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and the ideal candidate will also have 3 years of relevant experience, specifically in the areas of public relations, media relations, blogger and influencer engagement, experiential marketing, event planning and/or promotional activities. Long and short-form writing, branded content creation, proactive media pitching and reporting experience is a must.

Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to multi-task and learn at a rapid pace in a quickly changing environment. The ability to work with teams, as well as to work independently, is essential. The ideal candidate will also possess intellectual curiosity, good analytic skills and be a proactive problem solver.  

Experience with consumer packaged goods, durable goods, home building products, tourism, hospitality or outdoor lifestyle clients is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Cision and Meltwater is a plus. Some travel required.

This position may be located in either our Milwaukee or Helena, Montana office.
