User Experience Lead

We’re seeking a User Experience Lead to join the digital team at Hoffman York. The ideal candidate has experience with the research and analytics component of user experience, along with the creative background to design wireframes and prototypes.  The ideal candidate has minimum 5 years of experience and can contribute immediately.

  • Lead strategic research and recommendations for digital projects (generally website builds). This includes authoring usability audits, competitive analyses, and functional recommendations
  • Design wireframes to visually demonstrate functionality and interactivity of websites and other digital projects
  • Work with internal and client stakeholders to craft and implement digital solutions to achieve business goals
  • Create functional specifications and other UI/UX documentation intended for visual designers, developers, and producers
  • Identify opportunities for improvement with existing clients and projects
  • Work collaboratively with project teams comprised of producers, art directors, developers and more to deliver websites that are cost effective, maintainable, and solution-oriented for our clients

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business-, creative-, or technology-related fields or additional relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of work experience relevant to UX
  • Proficiency with software intended for creating wireframes and prototypes. Experience with Axure in particular is a plus.
  • Comfortable performing research and making recommendations based on real data and past experiences
  • The ideal candidate should not just be a team player, but someone who can grow to genuinely enjoy the company of the people they work with. We hope you are a new friend that we haven’t met yet!

  • Familiarity with visual design tools such as Sketch or Photoshop (generally just for editing or viewing purposes in this role)
  • Scans the horizon for emerging tools, skills, and techniques to ensure timely introduction of best practices
  • Enjoys Doritos (but not Cool Ranch). Can emotionally come to terms with an agency softball team that went winless in 2017. Ready and willing to alert the rest of the team to the presence of free food if you’ve spotted it first. Able to, when needed, respond to business requests using only emoji or GIFs from The Office.
