Hoffman York collaborates with the Oshkosh Area School District to design a first of its kind food truck – Brewing Futures mobile café provides hands-on learning for students of all abilities.

In August of 2021, Hoffman York partnered with the Oshkosh Area School District to develop the creative for a mobile café operated by high school students receiving special education services.

Patti Kimball, special education transition specialist at Oshkosh West High School and her co-coach Kris Steinhilber, had the idea to create a unique mobile classroom that would provide real-life working opportunities for students with special needs. They wanted to showcase the students’ employability skills and encourage them to engage with the community.

HY’s creative team was able to help ideate a list of potential truck names and provide a creative look for the truck wrap – making the vision come to life.

Brewing Futures has an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 28th from 1-2pm, with its first community event shortly after. The schedule is filling up fast, so be on the lookout for the Brewing Futures truck, it’s going places.
