Real recognition for our Wahl campaign

Wahl campaign won a prestigious REGGIE Award.

Throughout our long relationship, Wahl Clipper Corporation has asked Hoffman York to always convey the company’s values: people-first, hard-working, Midwestern values and uncompromising quality. It’s precisely why Wahl has become known as the company that identifies with real guys.

With that in mind, it only made sense for Wahl to eschew the direction chosen by competitors, who use chiseled-from-stone male models to demonstrate their grooming products. Wahl wanted an advertising campaign that reflected who they were as a company and who used their products. It’s why we developed the ongoing Real Guys. Real Grooming. campaign.

For the Brewer Edition of the campaign, we focused on the four founders and operators of Against the Grain Brewery in Louisville, Ky., for a series of TV spots and long-form videos that were extended across digital and earned and social media to promote greater awareness and engagement. The documentary-style format told the story of how these “real guys” use Wahl products to help them look their best and do extraordinary things in the field of craft brewing.
