Dirty Never Felt So Good

All great campaigns require some dirty work. And while many dread it, we actually made it the heart of our most recent campaign for Wahl.

Led by our PR and social media team, the 4th annual Dirty Dogs Contest once again made Wahl pet shampoo and other dog grooming products the hero in a very real fight to save shelter dogs’ lives. Through a partnership we put together with Greater Good Foundation, shelters and rescues nationwide were given Wahl grooming supplies to help clean up more than 10,000 dogs to get them ready for adoption.

To really bring the campaign to life, we had shelters provide before and after photos of these dogs, along with their heart-felt stories, and loaded them into an online gallery. The social-media-enabled site allowed visitors to easily share these dogs with friends and even adopt them. Fans then voted for their favorite makeover on the Wahl Pet Facebook page with top vote getters earning money for their local shelters.

Hard hitting and  visually compelling, the campaign was a hit with media and consumers alike, amassing millions of editorial impressions and significant consumer engagement with hundreds of thousands of votes, shares, likes and gallery visits.
